Yes, we have the feel-good FAM/family thing going and that’s nice, it helps. But, more than anything, it’s genuine and it starts with Zach Gibbons. Zach is the type of owner who tells it like it is and he will do anything and everything to do right by FAM’s customers. He’ll work with the customers, put together a budgeting plan so they can be ready when that time inevitably comes for a new roof. He’s walked away from easy money countless times because it’s a duct tape fix and/or he won’t skimp on the quality of materials. But how we actually treat people like family is we won’t tell you what you want to hear, but what you need to hear, what’s in your best interest.
Zach puts his name behind his work, he’s still spotted on a roof after dark to ensure the job gets done correctly on time, the first time. When he started the company he had a truck, some tools, and a couple thousand dollars to his name. In the early days Zach would be out roofing by himself during the day, go home to spend a couple hours with his now wife, Carlie, and then clock into job #2 to drive Uber at night. Every day, every night. He quickly got footing from his reputation and was able to hire in-house crews and set up shop at the Circle City Industrial Complex, where FAM is restoring the half a million square foot facility’s roof.
